John Nash
1962-2006

It is with much regret that I write to inform you that John Nash, long time BAFRA Official and former player with the Chiltern Cheetahs, has sadly passed away.

On behalf of the British American Football League I wish to pass on the condolences of everyone involved within the league to John's family.

John first played back in the 1980's for the Enfield Bullets before moving onto the Chiltern Cheetahs and the London Mets. He then turned his hand to officiating before returning to playing in 2000 when he again donned the helmet and shoulder pads for the Chiltern Cheetahs until 2004 when his final game was the Division Two Championship Game at Don Valley Stadium.

Still not wanting to be leave the game he returned to Officiating wearing the black and white stripes of BAFRA for the final time just 2 weeks ago at the East Midland Saxons game against the Colchester Gladiators.

As a mark of respect I would ask that a minutes silence be observed prior to the start of every league game this weekend.
