Lanarkshire appoint new Head Coach

Following on from the Carluke Cobra's very
successful Super Bowl Saturday II event and in preparation for the 2008 season
the Lanarkshire Steelers have appointed GB Lions (Senior Flag) Defensive
Co-ordinator Mark Fletcher as their Head Coach and General Manager.
The appointment of Fletcher as Head Coach will
cement the great work being done in developing the Steelers as a flag team.
Fletcher is also the current Head Coach of Team Scotland Senior Flag. Fletcher
said, "The Steelers will have to be on their game each week, because this
conference consists of ten quality sides. There are no easy games. We've made
great inroads into improving the Steelers playing consistency over the off
season and we're looking forward to giving our opponents a run for their
money."
The Lanarkshire Steelers' opening BAFL Senior Flag match will be with the current Scottish Champions the Kirkcaldy Bulls on Sunday the 27th April. It doesn't get any better.
