Last season the Trojans made the long journey south to Redditch and came away with arguably their hardest win of 2006. This Sunday it's the Arrows turn to make the long journey up north to face the Trojans on their home turf.
If last years encounter is anything to go by then this game will be a cracker and one that any American football fan in the Glasgow area, sitting about on a Sunday afternoon doing nothing really should attend.
The Trojans are sitting pretty at 3-0 after their 8-6 win over the Mustangs last week, but it was not all plain sailing like their first encounter, in fact the Trojans showed true grit and determination when facing a huge in comparison Mustangs squad, defied all odds and came away with the win. The Arrows are sitting 1-1 following their 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Surge last weekend.
Head Coach McNey commented on the up coming game. "Last years semi-final game was a great advert for the BAFL, if this Sunday's game is as half as exciting as last year then the supporters of both teams are in for a treat. Their defeat last week is going to spur them on as the know another defeat will all but kill of their playoff hope, to be honest i would have preferred a Arrows win last week"
"Fingers crossed we should have at least 10 players back who where missing last week. Throw in NCAA All Conference DE/FB Gary Clark who kits up for the first time tomorrow, and you have the makings of a very strong team"
Tomorrows game kicks of at 2.30 pm at King George V Playing Fields in Renfrew.
